Community Recycling Center

Destroyed by an arsonist. Now, rebuilt and reopened!  The Lord is good.

You can assist the Mission in a very practical way by donating items that can be recycled.

PLASTIC: #1, #2 and #4. This includes any kind of soft drink bottle, milk containers. Also bleach bottles, margarine containers, oil jugs. Just turn the container over and look for the number 1 or 2 inside that small triangle. #4 are dry cleaning bags, produce bags, trash can liners, food storage containers to list just a few. If the number is there the Mission can use it; as well as any plastic strapping used to tie down anything!

CLOTH: Old and unused clothing is constantly needed. Along with sheets, curtains, linens, blankets, etc.

ALUMINUM: Anything aluminum is able to be recycled. Screen doors, cans, engine blocks. Once you start looking you will be amazed how many items are packed in aluminum cans.

RECYCLING HINT:

Kevin says, "Here's an easy and reusable way to collect #1 and #2 plastic bottles with handles, such as milk jugs, bleach bottles and detergent containers. Tie a 1 to 2 inch loop at each of an 8 to 10 foot length of rope. Slip one end of the rope through the other loop, and hang it on a nail. When full, bring to our recycling center at 1010 SW Foundry. We'll take the bottles, with thanks, and return to rope to you."
