  • Retreating Church

  • We have the whole world before us and it is all under the authority of King Jesus. Why is it that the Church seems to retreat in high gear toward our false havens of rest. In reality they only serve to provide retreat with a clear conscience rather than resting spots for renewal as we renew our assured struggle of victory in this world.

Evil cannot overcome the Church of Jesus Christ, yet we often find ourselves trembling in our corners invoking the name of Jesus in some form of mantra seeking protection. God's Word assures us that Satan cannot stand against His Church.

Is it not possible that we need to have a renewed vision of who we are as His children as we enter our daily frays against evil? We are more than conquerors through Christ who strengthens us. May we live our such authority in our daily lives.

  • Community Recycling Center is Open!

  • The crew, under the careful leadership of Jake Vander Stoehl is hard at work taking cardboard, plastics #'s 1, 2 & 4, as well as newspaper, cloth and copper and aluminum for recycling.

Costing approximately $318,000 to rebuild following an arson fire that totally destroyed our previous building, the new CRC is more than adequate for our needs. We are located at 1010 SW Foundry in Grants Pass. That is 3 blocks west of Booth.

In addition to providing work opportunities for our residents it also provides income for the operating expenses of the Mission.

You make it all possible with your donations of goods and funds. All of us express our deepest thanks for your care for this wonderful yet needed work.

  • Community Recycling Center is Open!

  • Thanks to all who have prayed and donated to make our brand new recycling center a working possibility. Located at 1010 SW Foundry, about 3 blocks west of Booth, is one of our community's great assets - the Community Recycling Center.

Costing about $318,000 to rebuild following our arson generated fire the CRC is ready to receive plastics #s 1, 2 & 4 as well as cardboard, cloth, newspaper and copper.

The CRC, operating under the careful guidance of Jake Vander Stoehl, provides work opportunities for our residents as well as badly needed operating income for the Mission.

None of this is possible without your support. Truly, you make it all work through your on-going care. All of us at the Mission extend our deepest appreciation to you.

We are so pleased that The Ford Family Foundation of Roseburg, Oregon has granted to the Gospel Rescue Mission a $125,000 Matching Grant for the $3,200,000 Phase II, Men's Residence facility. Matching this gift is a wonderful possibility though it means that all must work together for the common good of man and for the glory of God. Pictured here is the existing kitchen facilities at the existing Men's Residence at 8th & E Streets in Grants Pass.

It is a 32 sq. ft. kitchen where almost 3,500 meals are prepared each month. In our new Phase II facility, known as Wagner Hall, there will be a fully functional commercial kitchen able to comfortably produce meals for up to 100 men three times each day. There will also be a
Dining Room that will seat up to 300 men as well. The entire facility will total 24,000 sq. ft. and will provide acceptable housing for up to 78 men.
Located in the east end of the second floor will be the Adminstration offices. This will allow all of the men, women and children, along with all of the Mission Staff, to be located on one site. May God soon bring all of this to pass. An important step is satisfying the Matching Grant. If you are interested just send an email and ask whatever questions you have to ask.
    Thanks,
    Keith O. Heck
    Executive Director
