Resident Harvesting Vegetables

Give to a Nonprofit with Proven Results

With a track record that speaks volumes, one in three residents who walk through our doors leave with housing and a sustainable source of income, setting them on a path to lasting change. Unlike merely making homelessness on the streets more bearable, our mission is to equip individuals with the tools and support they need to live independently.

Through our comprehensive programs and Gospel-centered approach, we strive not only to meet immediate needs but also to foster long-term solutions that restore dignity, self-sufficiency, and hope. Partner with us in our journey to transform lives and communities; one individual at a time, leaving homelessness behind… for good.

Ways You Can Support the Mission

The Grants Pass Gospel Rescue Mission is not your typical “three hots and a cot” homeless shelter. We focus on helping those who really seek meaningful change in their lives to go from dependence to independence, and from brokenness to wholeness.

Pray

Prayer is one of the most important ways that you can support the Mission. When you pray for the Mission, ask God to provide the resources and guidance that the Mission needs to be successful. Pray that God works in the hearts of the homeless and needy to bring them to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.

Volunteer

The task is a big one, and we can’t do it alone! If you have been called to serve the homeless, consider working alongside us by becoming a volunteer.

Planned Giving

Legacy giving plays a vital role in sustaining the impact of the Grants Pass Gospel Rescue Mission for generations to come. By considering a planned gift, donors have the opportunity to build a lasting imprint on the lives of the homeless and marginalized in Josephine County, ensuring that our crucial work continues long into the future.

Create or Update Your Will

As a thank you for being a friend of Grants Pass Gospel Rescue Mission, we’ve partnered with FreeWill to help you create your legal will. It’s 100% free to you, and most people finish in 20 minutes or less.

During the will-creation process, you will be given the opportunity to specify a gift for the Grants Pass Gospel Rescue Mission. Thank you!

Beneficiary Designations

Did you know?

  • Having a valid will in place isn’t enough.

  • Assets you pass on outside of your will are called non-probate assets. They include lRAs, 401(k)s, pensions, life insurance policies, and certain bank and brokerage accounts.

  • If beneficiaries are properly set for these non-probate assets, ownership can transfer faster than your assets that must go through probate.

Plan My Beneficiaries

Let us Know About a Gift

It can often be difficult to plan and make sure that your gifts are used in line with your wishes if they are left unknown. But more importantly, we want to say thank you for considering our work as a part of your legacy.

We know that life circumstances can change and you may need to alter or reconsider your gift in the future. That’s all right — reporting your gift today does not obligate you now nor in the future.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of donations do you need?

We can always use financial support as well as a variety of food items.  We also go through a variety of household items such as towels, washcloths, bedding, and blankets (twin size), and non-hotel/motel toiletries.  All other clothing and household items can be donated at our Second Chance Thrift and Booth Street Thrift stores where they can be offered freely to program participants or sold for great prices with all proceeds going to help offset the cost of our program operations.

How do I donate household items?

The Mission benefits in many ways from the donations of quality, gently used clothing and household items.  Donations of all clothing and household items are received at either of our thrift stores where they are processed and organized for redistribution for sale or to be offered freely to those in our program that are working to leave homelessness.  All funds raised by our thrift stores go directly to help support the residents of the Gospel Rescue Mission.  We cannot promise that clothing donations will go directly to Mission residents, but all residents have regular and reasonable opportunity to access clothing at our thrift stores free of charge.

How do I donate food?

All food donations are received at the kitchen door of our Men’s facility at 540 SW Foundry.  Food must be in unopened packaging and within manufacturers recommended sell by date.  We cannot accept dented or corroded canned goods.  For all other questions call 541 476-0082 and ask to speak to our food service manager.

When I donate online, is my information secure?

Your payment and personal information is always safe. We use a donation platform called Planning Center Giving to process all online donations. The platform uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read over the internet.

Grants Pass Gospel Rescue Mission will not share or sell a donor’s personal information with anyone else whether collected online or offline. The Grants Pass Gospel Rescue Mission will not send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations.

Do you accept Paypal for online giving?

The best and easiest way to give online is through our Secure Payment Portal.

However, if you would like to donate online using Paypal, see the page Paypal Giving.
